Roses Cottage – Guest Book Comments
April 2007 – This cottage is really pleasant. Its comfortable, nicely furnished and the view is wonderful. Everything makes you want to come back… And I would add a big ‘thank you’ for the warm welcome, all the nice attentions which made us feel at home for a week, too short a week definitely. I hope we come back to Roses Cottage in Inishowen for a longer time to be able to rest inside and gaze outside to enjoy the astonishing views and lights totally! Isabelle Bordes, Granville, France
September 2007 – Beautiful cottage, wonderful scenery. We had a great stay, wish it could have been longer! We look forward to returning in the near future. The Regan Family – N2
May/June 2008 – We had a beautiful stay at Roses Cottage! It’s beautiful! When we arrived we were so in awe of the spectacular surroundings, the view to the beach and the hills. We will remember this holiday in your secluded haven for many a year and are already planning our next visit but this time for a little longer, we don’t want to leave! Thank you so much for your hospitality and kindness.

July 2008 – Back again to Roses Cottage for another lovely break. Last time we visited Rowan was only a baby and it was just the three of us but now Rowan is a hefty 3yrs old and the ‘bump’ has turned into Josephine, now 1 year old! We had a great time as ever and loved the long walks, throwing stones into the water at the Rocky Beach and building sandcastles at Tullagh Strand. The Waterfall is also beautiful and the Guinness at The Rusty Nail also beautiful! Will be back again soon.

August 2008 – We have had a great time here at Roses Cottage. The house is ‘Top class’, great room for Beth & Joe to run around and not forgetting the beautiful views. Will be back again. Thanks for everything. Roraidh, Fiona, Beth & Joe Irwin, Co Monaghan, Ireland
August 2008 – Thanks for a lovely house with beautiful views! I’ve never stayed in a better equipped holiday home, the bed was very comfy too!! Spent lots of time at the various beaches, it didn’t matter what the weather was like, they’re amazing. The kids really enjoyed sharing a room with their own bathroom. I would recommend Roses Cottage to anyone! Claire Mia & Jack Gibson, Co Down, N. Ireland.
October 2008 – An amazing cottage with breathtaking views. We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect setting for our week of ‘getting away from it all’. The little Welcome Basket sums up the level of hospitality and friendliness we received throughout this amazing area. We will be making sure our friends get to sample this cottage too. Denis, Karla & of course Ziggy
We were so happy to come back! I hope we can make it again and enjoy the magnificent landscapes and the ‘delicious’ cottage, Ann & Gerard are so nice people. See you later, all the best to Donegal. Isabelle, France
August 2009 – Well, what can we say except what a truly beautiful place Ireland is. The wonderful scenery, the friendly people and in particular the views from your cottage, a real retreat for all of us from our everyday lives. Thank you for letting us share part of it. We found your cottage well equipped for Paula who was able to successfully access the downstairs as well as being able to go freely in and out in her wheelchair, a real plus for her. Many thanks. Angela, Malcolm, Paula, Sean, Alison, Dan, Luke & Fizz, Bridgwater, Somerset, England.
September 2009 – My husband was left with severe brain damage following a number of tragic mistakes by the hospital. This was his first week out of hospital in 18months and it was great to have a holiday together as a family. The facilities were excellent with everything you could need. The view from the cottage is breathtaking, Donegal is a beautiful place and we hope, God willing to return sometime in the future. Linda Stewart, Belfast
March 2010 – Ann, we have all had the most wonderful weekend, did you organise that glorious weather too?! Your house is just superb! Everyone was so impressed with the beautiful bedrooms, your lovely taste in furniture and artefacts. The accommodation was just excellent, great kitchen for cooking for 15! Lovely space for an evening of chat, craic, food, recitations and song. We had a great walk over the gap and down past the waterfall, along the Clonmany road into the Rusty Nail after 4hrs of treking. Really appreciated your wonderful hospitality and generosity. November 2007 – A great escape – pure bliss! A great wee find, we loved it all. Thanks for the first class hospitality. Elaine, Shaggy & Elvis (the dog)
August 2008 – The Barns’ position & view are absolutely wonderful! We’ve been very cosy here and have found it well equipped. For future strangers to the nice area (as we were) we suggest a walk up to the Waterfall, easily accessible and well signposted from the Clonmany road. It was spectacular after rain! There was so much to see in Inishowen that we haven’t gone much further into Donegal – perhaps we have to return…… Joan & Christine Secombe – West Sussex & West London
Sept 2008 – Well, what can I say, what a wonderful two weeks. The Barn was gorgeous & much more that we expected. The hospitality was second to none & we cannot wait until our next trip. The views are sensational both day & night, plenty to do and see in the vacinity and donkey next door woke us every morning with a smile, he’s adorable. Again thank you so much, we had and amazing time.
Michelle, Carrie & Julia – The Welsh girls.
May 2010 – It’s the first time my husband & I have been away on our own, well except for Raid our german shephard pup, we all had a fabulous time and couldn’t have picked better accommodation. Ann & Gerard, you just thought of everything, thank you so much, we’ll definitely be back. Jacky, Neil & Raid – Ballynure – Northern Ireland
June 2010 – Didn’t I say we would be back! This time we’ve our son Dylan and best friend Aimee with us, they’ve just finished their final exams. They loved it just as much as us and they want to come back again so watch this space…. Thanks so much Ann & Gerard

July 2010 – We are leaving tomorrow after having enjoyed the most relaxing comfortable & chilled out time. The house is so welcoming and the views simply stunning. We have felt very at home here & really wish we could stay another week. So much thought and care has been put into every item of furniture, to the incredibly comfortable bedding, right down to every utensil in the kitchen. Darcy, our dog loved it too - she went for big walks in the fresh air at the beach and waterfall. Thank you so much for such memorable experience. The Phoenix Family.x
